Wounded Knee Historic Site To Be Purchased By Lakota Publisher/Journalist

Lakota Journalist & Publisher, Tim Giago, Has Signed An Agreement To Purchase Historic Wounded Knee Site.

Giago, publisher and founder of Lakota Times, Native Sun News and Indian Country Today will be making the purchase from James Czywczynski for nearly 4 million dollars.

Giago intends to raise money for the purchase and then place the land in trust for the tribes of the Sioux Nation. He has created a 501(C)(3) non-profit named the National Historic Site of Wounded Knee, Inc. Donations can be made to this non-profit to aid in the purchase.
