The 10th Annual Red River Intertribal Club Benefit Powwow will be held at Stone Palace Ballroom in Wichita Falls, Texas. Native dancing, singing, food, arts and crafts, jewelry, food/craft vendors and more. Family friendly event and the public is welcome. Free admission, limited seating, bring your own chairs.
The Red River Intertribal Club is made up of people from all different tribes. The powwow is a benefit for the Children’s Aid Society.
The dinner is free to anyone who wishes to take part in the powwow. Donations are not accepted for the dinner. Families volunteer to cook the meal. It’s a part of the culture, giving the gift of the meal so that other people can enjoy it.

The club tries to maintain a traditional powwow, which is why they have been successful, so far. A powwow, they said, is a dance and a get-together in which people can see friends and family. It’s also a great opportunity to share their heritage with community members and help community groups like Patsy’s House.
