Everyone is welcome at the 36th Annual Yuba-Sutter Pow Wow on June 3-4, 2017 at the Yuba Sutter Fairgrounds in Yuba City, California. The two-day Yuba-Sutter Powwow is organized by the Marysville Joint Unified School District’s American Indian Education Program and serves as a gathering place to see old friends and celebrate the culture of a diverse people.

Yuba and Sutter counties lack tribal land, but the Yuba-Sutter Powwow draws hundreds from around Northern California and some from around the west. Most of the days events centered around the dance circle, which will feature a steady flow of colorful movement fueled by the rhythms of the drum groups. Booths selling food, jewelry and other crafts will also be on hand.

Pow Wow Ettiquette
Listen to the Master of Ceremonies, he coordinates the Pow Wow. He will announce when to stand, when men should remove their hats and when it is inappropriate to take pictures. If you want to take pictures, ASK the person whose picture you wish to take.
* Do not touch anyone’s Regalia without their permission.
* Do not cut across the Pow wow circle.
* No Smoking, No Alcohol, No Drugs.
