Come to the Nottoway Indian Tribe of Virginia’s 9th Annual Pow-Wow! There you will enjoy a fun and educational experience learning about Native American Culture. Colonial Williamsburg’s American Indian Initiative will be on site to discuss the 18th-century Virginia Indian Trade to the Nottoway and other tribes. Visit with the Indian trader and hear about the truck and trade of the Nottoway during the colonial era. There will be native dancing and foods, storytelling, historical presentations including native survival techniques, children’s activities, native vendors, as well as history and genealogy discussions. This is a family event for all ages. Bring your blankets, chairs, and umbrellas. General Admission – $5; Seniors > 65 – $3; Children free with paying adult.
