Please join us for our 29th year celebrating the diversity of Native American culture in Alabama on Saturday May 14th, 2016 from 10am -5pm.  Cherokee, Creek, and Chickasaw living history demonstrations will featured as well as Civil War reenactments, arts and crafts, free hand’s on children’s activities, live birds of prey and concessions.  The dance arena will feature Native American drum groups, flute music, dance demonstrations, and song in native southeastern languages and our amphitheater will showcase country, gospel, and bluegrass music. Learn about flint knapping, pottery making, weaving, and trading traditions of the past.  There will also be $1 activities such as face-painting, canoe rides, & wagon rides.  The park also hosts a 5k walking trail and this is a family friendly event with something for all ages. Please note that pets are not allowed on school system property.
