Santa Clara University’s 1st Annual Powwow A Success

Santa Clara University’s 1st Annual Powwow A Success

Congrats To The Committee!

Santa Clara University’s 1st Annual Powwow was hosted by SCU Native American Coalition for Change.

The event was a success with a good amount of dancers, vendors and visitors. The weather was perfect and the location at Mission Gardens was beautiful with it’s lovely lawns, flowers and blooming plants and trees.

MC Randy Pico did a great job as did all the host staff which included Arena Director Eugene Newman and Head Gourd Dancer Earl Neconie. Southern Drum was Southern Express and Northern Drum was All Nations.

As a vendor there we really enjoyed the day. Such a nice crowd of visitors and participants. We look forward to participating again next year.

Congrats to the committee and Catherine Moore for putting together a successful first time powwow!
